In the Program Development Project Lead Position, you’ll develop, evaluate, and revise Indigenous Perspectives Society (IPS) programs and training curricula and initiatives within the confines of the IPS Vision, Mission, and Mandate that support our participants’ learning objectives.
The Program Development Project Lead reports directly to the Executive Director and is responsible for leading program development and training initiatives. The role studies and interprets relevant legislation, standards, and policy to create educational curricula and course materials that meet participant learning objectives in a culturally appropriate way. The curriculum will include appropriate delivery methods for each area of knowledge that adapts to various audiences.
The role will also be responsible for creating proposals for contractors, setting their deadlines, and revising their schedules as needed.

Unique to our organization is our commitment to culturally relevant services. For 30 years, our programs have been fostering a deeper understanding of Indigenous perspectives and cultural differences and helping build successful relationships with Indigenous communities, stakeholders, and government partners.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Relevant Degree.
- 5-7 Years Experience.
- Progressive experience in project management and curricula design.
- Demonstrated Experience in the design and development of competency-based curricula, public education, and related materials; specifically utilizing a blended learning approach.
- Sound knowledge of Indigenous communities, cultures, traditions, and practices in BC.
- Proficiency with computer software including MS Office, Moodle, and Zoom.
- Preference will be given to individuals identifying as Indigenous, Metis, or Inuit.
