iCOPe HIV: Seeking Presenters, Panelists and Volunteers for AIDS2024 in Munich

The International Coalition of Older People with HIV (iCOPe HIV) is pleased to share three opportunities to get involved if you’ll be attending AIDS2024 in Munich, Germany at the end of July:

Intergenerational Relationship-Building Events

The organizers of the Youth Pavilion (Youthforce) and The Silver Zone (European AIDS Treatment Group & Realize), two networking zones within the Global Village at AIDS2024, are coming together to co-organize two opportunities for intergenerational learning.  Join us!

Pleased to Meet You! Facilitated Intergenerational Networking

Tuesday July 23 from 12:15-12:50 CET
Youth Pavilion

Using a “speed dating” approach, people living with HIV will have the opportunity to meet and greet and learn from others of different ages and stages.  No need to register to join in the fun – just show up!

Sharing Living Expertise: Intergenerational Panel Discussion

Wednesday July 24 from 12:00-13:00 CET
The Silver Zone

A moderated panel discussion in which people living with HIV across all age groups will share their living expertise and their perspectives on aging with HIV.

To get involved, contact one of the folks below by Wednesday June 26, 2024.

If you’re a youth who’s interested co-hosting the networking event or being a panelist, please reach out to the Munich Youth Force at: [email protected]

If you’re an aging or older person living with HIV who’s interested in co-hosting the networking event or being a panelist, please reach out to Kate Murzin at Realize: [email protected]

Share Your Project or Living Expertise in the Disability Networking Zone

The Disability Networking Zone (DNZ) is a welcoming and accessible space in the Global Village at AIDS2024 where Realize alongside partners will create a people-first hub that facilitates connection, provides opportunity to learn about research and good practice, and enables people living with HIV who experience disability to fully engage in presentations, discussions, and interactive learning sessions.

To submit an application to host a presentation, workshop, discussion or story, please use this form.

Volunteer to help us make The Silver Zone a success!

The Silver Zone is a networking zone dedicated to ageing and older people living with HIV to be held in the Global Village at AIDS 2024 (Munich, Germany, 21 to 25 July). Entry to the Global Village is free and open to the public. It does not require the payment of a conference registration fee. (For more information about the conference visit: www.aids2024.org)

EATG, Realize and other organizational partners are looking for motivated ageing and older persons living with or affected by HIV, students, advocates and others to provide volunteer support within the networking zone.  Volunteers will help visitors access information and support the implementation of programming scheduled within The Silver Zone. This will be a great opportunity to meet international visitors and to network with delegates from the conference!

Please complete the form below to be considered as a volunteer within The Silver Zone. Roles, responsibilities and scheduling will be confirmed after July 10, 2024.
