Join PLDI for the next training!

June 13-27, 2024, Online

The next Positive Leadership Development Institute (PLDI) training is on board governance. Learn what a board is and does, and whether this kind of work inspires you. Governance is a module that requires the completion of PLDI Core Leadership Training before you apply. Learn more about PLDI training options.

This online training is only open to people living with HIV and welcomes people new to Governance concepts and those interested in Committee processes. Leaders who have previously taken the PLDI Governance – Bored? Get on Board! training aren’t eligible for this training.

Don’t miss the opportunity to establish a vision and mission through fun mock board scenarios. The Governance training will explore the following topics through online presentations, group work and discussions:

• Is a Board the right fit for me? (Maybe I could start by participating on a committee)
• What are Board vs Staff Responsibilities in an organization
• Explore Board Governance models
• Board accountability and responsibilities
• Understanding committee structures and purpose
• Effective meetings
• General Financial Responsibilities
• Understanding potential conflicts of interest
