Training and Leadership

“PAN is expert at bringing collective voices together for the purposes of education, empowerment and advocacy.” (PAN Member & Allies Survey)

British Columbia is a large province and issues vary from region to region. PAN training and leadership programs provide ongoing connections to strengthen organizations and mentor community leaders all over BC. PAN provides skills-building and workforce development opportunities to staff and key volunteers of member organizations. Leadership programs for people with lived experience support them in realizing their leadership potential and how they can participate meaningfully in community life.

We offer opportunities to explore best and promising practices in HIV and hepatitis C  health, social programs and policies, mental health, substance use and other factors that affect health outcomes. Training is developed with community input and public health evidence to prioritize training needs.

For optimum respect, safety and comfort of participants, we ask everyone at our events to honour PAN Group Guidelines and Responsibilities. For information about face to face events, see Health, Safety, and Respect at Group Gatherings
