Both HIV and hepatitis C can be treated to some or great degree of success. Both diseases may also be complicated by other health issues can affect the course of healthcare access, treatment plans, and health outcomes. With drug treatment, HIV can be well-managed and people with the virus may live long and healthy lives. Hepatitis C can be cured when people gain access to treatment. Obtaining and remaining on treatment can be more difficult for some than others.
