Webinar: STIBBI Savvy to Support Your Work

Date: Wednesday March 15, 2023

Time: Noon-1PM Pacific time

We look forward to seeing you at the next webinar in our KnowledgeConnect series. KnowledgeConnect events help frontline organizations build their skills, health literacy, and community connections.

On March 15th, we’ll welcome Venessa Ryan, who is the Senior Practice Lead in Epidemiology for Clinical Prevention Services at the BC Centre for Disease Control. Sexually transmitted infections and blood borne infections (STIBBI) can complicate the health of people living with HIV and/or hep (hepatitis) C. Venessa will provide an update on current trends in STIs, including regional and provincial information on chlamydia, gonorrhea, and infectious syphilis, with an emphasis on infectious syphilis, given the ongoing increase in infectious syphilis in BC.

We’ll have ample time for Venessa to answer your questions; support workers, advocates, and educators in particular will be able to use this information in their work.

This webinar will support the work of:

  • Anyone interested in sexual health
  • Support workers
  • Health service advocates
  • Educators
