Community engaged research in action

Join community-based researchers for the Community Engaged Research Panel, on Friday June 24th 2022 from 2:00 – 3:30 PM Pacific time via Zoom. This event is co-sponsored by the BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC), the Centre for Gender and Sexual Health Equity (CGSHE), and SFU’s Community Engaged Research Initiative (SFU CERi). At the panel, we will be discussing the opportunities, challenges, and practicalities associated with community engaged research.

Each of the panelists has significant experience doing community engaged research with various communities, including people with incarceration experience, Two-Spirit communities, and im/migrant communities. Specific discussion topics include facilitating community advisory boards in a respectful way, and working towards shared leadership with community members, among others. Learn more and register.
