New Study Seeks Participants

via the Canadian Association of Nurses in HIV/AIDS Care (CANAC) newsletter:

A new study has been launched to explore the ethical and professional implications of using incentives in the care of people at risk of or living with HIV, including but not limited to testing, treatment, care, counselling, etc. By incentives, we mean food, vouchers, cash, gift cards, draws, prizes, or other means of encouraging engagement in care. The study is funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and the Principal Investigator is Marilou Gagnon (RN, PhD) of the University of Victoria.

Participants must identify as a health care professional (e.g., physicians, nurses, social workers, or other) or service provider (e.g., community-based workers, peer workers); have worked in the field of HIV in BC (e.g., clinical care, research, outreach, prevention, public health, etc.) in the past five years; and have a least one experience working with incentives.
