LHIVE Healthy: A web-based study to help you make healthy choices

 

What is LHIVE Healthy?

LHIVE Healthy is web-based research conducted across Canada. It aims to evaluate if tailored web-based interventions are effective to help people living with HIV (PLHIV) make healthy choices like smoke less, do more physical activity and eat better. Making such choices helps to reduce the risk of developing other diseases and improves quality of life and health.

 

Who can participate?

Everybody who …

  • is 18 years old and up is iving with HIV
  • is able to read and understand French or English and has access to Internet

 

Why participate?

  • To have access to quality information
  • To develop tricks to make healthier choices
  • To contribute to the advancement of research on care for PLHIV

 

What is involved?

  • Register for the online study at www.lhivehealthy.ca
  • Complete 3 online questionnaires about 10 minutes over six months (at enrollment, and after 3 and 6 months)
  • Participate in a tailored web-based intervention (duration: 15-60 minutes)
  • Compensation will be provided after the 2nd and 3rd questionnaire
  • Participation in the study is confidential
