At the end of the webinar, participants will be able to:

1. Briefly communicate to a patient the basic neurophysiology of pain and why treatment is biopsychosocial.
2. Describe the overlap with pain and addiction and how some of the basic treatment strategies are similar.
3. Identify principles of perioperative pain management in patients on opioid agonist therapy.

Presentations will be followed by a discussion where participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and receive real-time responses from presenters. This event is accredited by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the British Columbia Chapter for up to 1 Mainpro+ credit.
