VCH – Participation in the No Show Late Cancellations Survey

VCHBackground

In the province of BC we have a public healthcare system in which all residents use and pay for healthcare.  In Vancouver Coastal Health we experience individuals not showing up for scheduled appointments, for treatment or tests, or cancelling less than 24 hours before the appointment time.  Each time this occurs there is a negative impact to the system, including the cost of the health professionals time and the inability to book another person which can create lengthy wait lists. This collective cost over time has a negative impact on access to health services.

Your participation:

As a resident or user of health services within Vancouver Coastal Health your input is needed to help us understand how we can best support patients so we can reduce the incidents of no shows or last minute cancellations.
