We would like to acknowledge the passing of Christopher MacKenzie, who died in a car accident on July 26, 2019. Chris was known to many of us as he was a key contributor at Living Positive Resource Centre (LPRC) for well over a decade. Chris also volunteered on PAN’s board of directors from 2006 to 2012, including serving as secretary.
During his time on the PAN board, Chris was a strong voice for the interior region, as well as a champion for the meaningful involvement of PLHIV in PAN’s governance as well as the PLDI. Chris’ other interests and community commitments through the years included the Society for Creative Anachronism, the Ponderosa Spinners, Weavers & Fibre Artists Guild, and the Kelowna Dragon Boat Club particularly support for Stroke of Luck, the breast cancer survivors team. He will be greatly missed.
