FNHA Indigenous Harm Reduction Grant

In response to the opioid crisis organizations, schools and agencies that are engaged in direct health service delivery to BC First Nations and/or Aboriginal people may be eligible for funding to provide a community–driven harm reduction event or initiative. To be eligible, the event or initiative must be held between April 1st, 2018- March 1st, 2019.

Harm reduction involves a range of non-judgmental approaches and strategies to enhance the knowledge, skills, resources, and supports for individuals, their families, and communities to make informed decisions to be safer and healthier.

Indigenous Harm Reduction grants provide for Community-Driven, Nation-Based innovative and culturally relevant responses to the Opioid Public Health Emergency, both on- and off-reserve.

Maximum funding available through the Indigenous Harm Reduction Grant is $50,000 per application.

 

The deadline for applications is January 26, 2018.
