CCDIC – Canadian Guidelines on Sexually Transmitted Infections

The Professional Guidelines and Public Health Practice Division of the Centre for Communicable Diseases and Infection Control within the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) is pleased to announce that two new publications for the Canadian Guidelines on Sexually Transmitted Infections have been publicly released.  

1) The Laboratory Diagnosis of Sexually Transmitted Infections chapter has been revised to reflect changes in laboratory diagnostics and new technologies that have evolved since the release of the 2010 chapter. It also includes a new section for the diagnosis of Mycoplasma genitalium. It is available at the following link http://www.phac-aspc.gc.ca/std-mts/sti-its/cgsti-ldcits/section-3-eng.php.

2) The 2016 Updates Summary outlines key content changes to the Canadian Guidelines on Sexually Transmitted Infections.
