OHTN logoWednesday, February 4th @1:00pm EST

It’s show time! Join the 4th edition of our online talk show “What’s hot with PRAs in Canada” for peer researchers and those who work with them.

The Learning PlaceOur host: James Watson from the Ontario HIV Treatment Network and contributor to the unique online resource The Learning Place where everybody can learn the basics of community based research.

This edition theme: “How Much Is Enough? Fair Compensation for Peer Researchers in Health Research”. We have expert presenters from across Canada addressing this topic. You can actively participate.

People with lived experience in HIV and other health struggles are often encouraged to participate in a variety of roles in community-based research. However, developing an appropriate compensation plan is difficult considering the many determinants of health (including income, ethnicity, and age) that might affect peer researchers. Are Canadian standards possible? What are good practices? And are we falling behind or moving forward? Let’s talk!
