PAN Presents… PHSA hot topics. Help shape this session with a 1 minute survey

We are inviting PAN member organizations and allies to help shape an upcoming  PAN presents…” webinar in June – which will feature staff from the PHSA/ BCCDC/Oak Tree. Towards this end, we invite you to complete a  1 minute poll.

Historically as part of our annual Fall Conference, PAN organizes a panel presentation by Regional Health Authority representatives, along with presenters from PHAC, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Mental Health and Addictions and more recently the Overdose Emergency Response Centre…

This year we are looking to provide this programming in a new format, driven by evaluation feedback from our members. e.g. For the 2018 PAN fall conference, 75% of attendees who answered the question found the health authority and government panels useful or very useful, but the main critique was that there was not enough time for questions or responses from our membership.

We will therefore be providing a series of webinar events for members to engage with representatives from each of the health authorities, the provincial ministries and PHAC- in a more fulsome and meaningful way.  This past week, we held our first event with the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) talking about the Harm Reduction fund which many members found helpful and informative.

We are now working to plan a webinar with PHSA staff who are working with us and want to tailor their presentations and the subsequent Q&A session in response to interest.

The wide-ranging topics potentially on offer are:

  • Epidemiology (HIV/HCV/STI)
  • PrEP
  • BC Hepatitis Testers Cohort
  • Blueprint to inform a Hep C Elimination Strategy
  • Hep C Provincial Testing Guidelines
  • PHSA Collective Impact Network
  • PHSA Women’s-funded projects
  • Oak Tree Clinic and Sexual Assault Services – PEP update

Choose now here. Polls will stay open until June 7th.
