Job Posting: Social Media Coordinator

Organization Overview

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Social Media Manager, will work closely with the Leadership Team and Operational teams. This is a temporary, part-time contract position.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement social media strategies on behalf of AIDS Vancouver appealing to local, national and global audiences
  • Drive innovation and forward-thinking ideas around community growth and engagement
  • Lead the development and creation of content across relevant social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Google+, Google Ads, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, Flickr, Tumblr, Xtra, Squirt and our Website
  • Develop and implement all organization specific paid social and digital campaigns on appropriate channels including; ad management, A/B testing, bid management, audience research
  • Work in collaboration with Program Coordinators to promote programs via social media
  • Keep up to date on agency-related events on Agency Calendar
  • Monitor paid campaigns to ensure they are reaching the KPI targets
  • Action feedback from reports, analyses, and recommendations into concrete plans
  • Develop a deep understanding and appreciation of target audiences and what resonates with them
  • Write content that includes website, digital ad copy, and social media content where needed
  • Evaluate and manage external vendors for social media campaigns, photo/video, tools and platforms for the business
  • Create visually innovative campaigns and successfully launch them
  • Additional duties/responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or business
  • 2-3 years of multi-channel digital marketing experience, social media management and strategy
  • 2+ years advanced experience using core social media networking such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Google, YouTube, etc.
  • Experience in paid social and digital advertising is preferred
  • Experienced in Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, AdWords and Display Network
  • Hands on experience using management and analytics tools.
