Call for Expressions of Interest – Vancouver Overdose Crisis Response

PAN received this notice this morning through several channels

Dear Non-Profit Leaders:

The City is actively seeking expressions of interest (EOI) for initiatives aimed at mitigating the effects of the overdose crisis across the City. Through community consultation and data monitoring, City staff have identified five priority needs for investment:

1. Innovative anti-stigma programs
2. Building capacity with urban Aboriginal communities
3. Addressing social isolation for drug users, especially men
4. Expanding interventions beyond the Downtown Eastside
5. Strategies to address toxic drug supplies.

We encourage proposals, wherever possible, to incorporate peer-informed and/or peer-led project designs. The deadline for submitting your EOI is Friday, June 9, 2017 at 5 pm.

To access the Call for EOI document online, please visit http://vancouver.ca/people-programs/healthy-city-strategy.aspx.

If you have any questions, please contact Chris Van Veen, Social Planner in Social Policy and Projects, at [email protected].

We look forward to reading your submissions. Please feel free to distribute this message to your partners & colleagues.
