Knowing how excited Victoria residents are for the sold out Elton John and his Band “Wonderful Crazy Night Tour 2017” at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre this March, two local Victoria non profit organizations have secured two pairs of tickets for the Sunday, March 12th show, and are partnering on a fundraising raffle event. To round out the grand prize package, a suite sponsored by the Chateau Victoria Hotel and Suites and dinner sponsored by Il Terrazzo.
Tickets cost $50 each and the goal of this raffle is to raise $20,000 across both charities. This money will make a big difference to us and the people we serve supporting core programs and services that are the heart of what we do. “The not for profit sector relies on fundraising to raise enough money to provide services to the most vulnerable populations in our communities,” says Paula Greene, Executive Director of the Men’s Trauma Centre. “By partnering with the Vancouver Island Persons Living with HIV/AIDS Society, we hope to be more successful with our efforts, and reflect a growing trend of partnership work that funders and donors are looking for.”
