CANAC Conference 2015: Spotlight on the Social Determinants of HIV and Health

CANAC (Canadian Association for Nurses in HIV/AIDS Care) is a national professional nursing organization committed to fostering excellence in HIV/AIDS nursing, promoting the health, rights and dignity of persons affected by HIV/AIDS and to preventing the spread of HIV infection. Their 23rd Annual Conference will take place May 14-16, 2015 in Ottawa, ON.

This year’s theme: Spotlight on the Social Determinants of HIV and Health. Social determinants of health have a significant impact on the predisposition of individuals and groups to HIV infection. They also play an important role in shaping the outcomes of HIV prevention, treatment, and care.

This year’s conference will provide the opportunity for nurses from across Canada to share their knowledge, practical experiences, research and network with each other through plenary, concurrent abstract sessions, workshops and social functions.
