We are excited to announce that Positive Living BC’s office at 1107 Seymour St. is being rebuilt. This new, modern space will allow us to better serve our members and is a significant step forward for the Society and people connected to it. The new office will be ready for us all in roughly 2.5 years. In the meantime, we (along with AIDS Vancouver, which will continue to offer its services and programs) are moving to the same temporary location. We are getting in touch to provide you details of this upcoming move. Our top goal during this time is to provide you with the information you need, and to have services and programs available to you as soon as possible.
What: Positive Living BC is moving. To accommodate the move, our last day of operation at 1107 Seymour St. will be Friday, December 19, 2014. The Society will be closed from December 22, 2014 to January 11, 2015 (tentative date).
Where: 803 East Hastings St. (at Hawks). This is our new, temporary location. We will move back to 1107 Seymour St. in about 2.5 years time, when our new building is complete.
When will the Hastings St. office open? Our priority is to have services and programs available to you by January 12, which is our tentative opening date. However, please be patient with us. It could take until the end of the month for programs and services to be up and running smoothly. Your understanding and your patience during this time are really valuable to us.
Changes to programs and services: Our new location is smaller than our current one. It is therefore possible some programs will operate on a limited or reduced basis. We will let you know what these changes are as soon as we can.
How do I get to the new location? It’s easy. From downtown, the 4, 7, 14 and 16 buses will take you there in about ten minutes. Using our current location (1107 Seymour St.) as your starting point:
- Walk up to Granville at Davie. Take the 14 or 16 bus northbound on Granville. Exit at Hastings and Hawks.
- Walk up to Granville at Davie. Take the 4 or 7 bus northbound on Granville. Exit at Cordova and Hawks and walk south one block to Hastings and Hawks.
- Or, from the SkyTrain station at Commercial Drive and East Broadway, take the 20 bus northbound on Commercial Drive. Exit at Hastings and Hawks.
