CDIC Webinar – World AIDS Vaccine Day

May 18, 2014 marks World AIDS Vaccine Day, an opportunity to promote the need for a vaccine to prevent HIV infection and AIDS; and acknowledge and
thank the thousands of volunteers, community members, health professionals, supporters and scientists who are working together to find a safe and effective  AIDS vaccine.

In preparation of this event, the Centre for Communicable Diseases and Infection Control, in collaboration with the Canadian HIV Vaccine Initiative’s (CHVI) Research and Development Alliance Coordinating Office (ACO), will be presenting a webinar on the following:

  • Overview of the CHVI, a collaboration between the Government of Canada and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
  • CHVI progress to date
  • Overview of the ACO and how you or your organization can get involved in the Alliance
  • Latest research findings and continued need for HIV vaccine research

You will receive an email confirmation with a personalized link for you to
join the webinar and dial-in instructions to join the teleconference to
hear the presentations. Save that email until the day of the webinar.

STEP THREE:
On the day of the webinar, click the link on the confirmation email to
watch the webinar. To hear the presentations, you must dial in to the
teleconference number provided.
