Job Posting: Financial Manager, PAN

PAN seeks a part time Financial Manager. Under the direction of the Executive Director, the incumbent is responsible for coordinating all aspects of financial administration for PAN. Specific Areas include bookkeeping, payroll and benefits administration, accounts payable/receivable, and monthly and quarterly financial reports.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reports to Executive Director in a timely manner
  • Oversees annual Audit of the Society
  • Provides financial records and variance reports for the Society and departments, as requested by PAN Director(s)
  • Provides quarterly financial reports with variance analysis for the Society to the PAN Treasurer and Board of Directors
  • Is responsible for preparing financial reports for the Society’s funders (governmental and non-governmental) as needed and as outlined in contracts
  • Implements financial controls including, but not limited to, bank accounts, bank reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, storing and preparation cheques, preparation of Telpay payments, and
  • Meets federal requirements of Revenue Canada (GST, Charity Return and others if required)
  • In conjunction with the ED, provides input towards and oversees financial investments
  • In conjunction with the ED, provides input towards and oversees insurance coverage
  • Is the lead on the annual Budgeting process with support from Executive Director and other Director(s)
  • Ensures the implementation of PAN’s Human Resources policies

Specific Tasks Include:

      • Overseeing tracking of Overtime and Vacation
      • Providing payroll, year-end records, T4 slips and summaries
      • Implementation of Employee Benefits package and tracking seniority

 

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from college or university in related area or CGA/CMA designation OR equivalent experience and education combination within a non-profit setting
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communications skills – written and oral
  • Proficient with Quickbooks Accounting software
  • Familiar with Telpay or equivalent electronic payment software

  • Familiarity with complex external stakeholder environments.
