What is the Cheque Day Study?
The Cheque Day Study is a research project looking at what happens when the timing and frequency of income assistance is changed. Volunteers in the study were paid on a day outside cheque week, or twice a month outside cheque week.
We now have preliminary results to share, and hope you will join us at the Carnegie Community Centre (401 Main Street) on June 7th, 2019 at 10:00 AM. We will also have copies of our Community Impact Statement available, a report summarizing what we heard during consultations with various stakeholders about potential impacts of changing the way income assistance is scheduled.
