
Researchers working on a national study on chronic pain and HIV will be in Vancouver on Thursday, August 7 and Friday, August 8, 2025 to host in-person research sessions.
There will be two sessions:
1. Men living with HIV who have lived experience of chronic pain and current or former use of cannabis, substances, or alcohol |
Chronic pain is pain that lasts or comes and goes for more than 3 months. It might stay even after an injury heals—or it may have no clear cause. It can affect your mood, energy, sleep, and daily life.
Join a safe, respectful group research session to share your experience and help improve care.
When? Thursday, August 7, 2025, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Where: Private Room, Ribbon Community. 1101 Seymour St, Suite 401, 4th Floor, Vancouver, BC
What You’ll Do:
- Sort 24 short statements about pain and care
- Join a relaxed group conversation (recorded unnamed for transcripts only)
- Snacks and drinks will be provided

Are you a woman living with HIV and chronic pain?

Join a safe, respectful group of ten (10) participants in a research session to:
- Sign a Consent Form
- Sort 24 powerful ideas about living with HIV and Chronic Pain
- Join a relaxed group conversation after
- Learn a bit of what we are learning about HIV and chronic pain
When? Friday, August 8, 2025, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM IN-PERSON
