Are you living with HIV in BC and interested in making changes to the policies that impact us every day? Join Jasmine, GIPA coordinator at Ribbon Community, for a provincial HIV advocacy forum on March 25, from 2:00-4:00 PM (held online via Zoom). This is a space to connect, share experiences, and shape advocacy efforts and priorities across the province.

This peer-led forum will feature discussions on HIV policy, barriers to advocacy, and pathways for change, including a guest speaker and interactive breakout rooms.

25 people living with HIV in BC can join this exciting online event. A committee will be intentionally selecting a group of people to reflect the many communities that make Ribbon Community possible. This includes an emphasis on people living outside the Lower Mainland, people who have been living with HIV for different lengths of time, and people who may not yet be well-versed in policies.

Apply now!

Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee registration. An ad-hoc committee of people living with HIV from across the province will be involved in selecting participants through an equitable process. Whether or not you are selected to participate in The Forum, Ribbon will follow up with you to let you know and offer ways to stay in touch and let you know about other opportunities.

Applications will be accepted until March 17th, 2025, at 5:00 PM. Ribbon will be in touch with all applicants no later than March 19th.  Applications can be filled out online, or you can connect with Jasmine Cotnam, GIPA Coordinator, to complete the application in another way.

All participants who attend and participate in The Forum will receive an honorarium of $50 and a Ribbon hospitality credit.
