BC Hepatitis Network

The BC Hepatitis Network (BCHep) is a provincial non-profit organization that provides viral hepatitis education, connection to services, and advocacy. We work with people living with hepatitis and partner with community-based organizations, the BC Centre for Disease Control and government to address concerns about viral hepatitis prevention, care, access to treatment and support.

The BC Viral Hepatitis Elimination Roadmap Planning project (the Roadmap) is comprised of organizations and individuals working together to eliminate viral hepatitis across the province, beginning with a roadmap for hepatitis C elimination in BC. The Roadmap project will be informed by consultations and engagement with priority groups and connected organizations.

The objectives of the Roadmap Project consultation and engagement process are to:

• engage diverse partners,
• learn about the current state of viral hepatitis in BC, define targets and goals for elimination, determine strategies for achieving elimination by 2030, and
• identify necessary resources and modifications.

The process aims to ensure representation, improve effectiveness, and enhance equity in programs and services. For more information about the Roadmap Project, go to hepfreebc.ca/.
