Welcome to PAN Presents Community Discussion Forum on HIV/Hepatitis C Testing Technologies in BC. The webinar will feature a presentation from Shriya Hari from CATIE, who will provide insights on the latest testing technologies available for HIV and Hepatitis C in Canada. Following Shriya’s presentation, we will move into the community discussion forum, where Daniel Boyle from HIM will share the organizational experience in implementing HIV Self-Testing. All the participants in the webinar will have an opportunity to share their experiences, challenges, and successes with community-based HIV, Hepatitis C, and other STI BBI testing models.
Suggested audience:
The forum is designed to bring together community-based organizations, people with lived and living experience, researchers, frontline service providers, students, public health professionals, and anyone that is passionate about HIV and Hepatitis C testing technologies in BC and across the country. Regardless of your experience in planning, studying, and implementing HIV, Hepatitis C, and other STI BBI this is an excellent opportunity to join the conversation and contribute to the discussion.
Presenter:
Shriya Hari is based in Toronto, Ontario, where she works as a Health Educator at CATIE. Shriya has a deep appreciation for community-led initiatives and research. Her primary areas of interest include sexual health, HIV/AIDS, hepatitis C, communicable diseases, and chronic illness. In her spare time, she writes poetry, enjoys sketching, and working on her fantasy novel.
Daniel Boyle is the Program Coordinator of Community Engagement at HIM and presented PnP 101 for PAN.
