The annual Canadian Association for HIV Research (CAHR) conference is scheduled for April 28-May 1, 2022, in London, Ontario.
The conference will be in-person. The Message from the CAHR President helps explain the decision-making process.
Excerpt from the CAHR 2022 Message from the CAHR President
The annual CAHR Conference has always been a home for researchers and trainees from diverse disciplines and approaches to come together with members of the HIV community to exchange ideas, build skills, support training efforts, and hear about the many advances that have made inroads in tackling the disease – from insights into the biomedical complexities of the virus, to the development of advanced clinical approaches to treat HIV, to new and diverse strategies to reduce risks for individuals and communities.
In an effort to support knowledge exchange and maintain the strong sense of community that has been built for decades at the CAHR Conference, the CAHR Board of Directors has made the decision to move forward with an in-person event in 2022. Every effort will be taken to make the event a safe and healthy experience. Further, given the pandemic is a very fluid situation, CAHR will be monitoring the situation closely and following the most current public health guidelines and the most up-to-date scientific evidence.
