CTN Call for Nominations, C4 Teams Community Co-Lead

The CIHR Canadian HIV Trials Network (CTN) is a Canada-wide partnership of researchers, people living with HIV and their caregivers, governments, health advocates, and the innovative pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry who are all committed to generating knowledge on the prevention, treatment, and management of HIV, hepatitis C (HCV), and other sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections (STBBIs) and developing a cure for HIV, through the conduct of scientifically sound clinical trials, research, and other interventions.

The Cross-Core Community Collaborations (C4) Teams works alongside the CTN Research Cores (Prevention, Clinical Care & Management, Vaccines & Immunotherapies, and Co-Infections & Related Conditions) to create opportunities for collaboration across the cores while providing the essential structure to develop and strengthen a community-informed and centred research model that upholds the principles of GIPA/MIPA and strives to amplify the voices and perspectives of historically oppressed, vulnerable, marginalized and underrepresented communities.

The C4 Teams Community Co-Lead will work alongside the Research Co-Lead to develop the Teams’ structure and identify its priorities, objectives, plans and activities. The Community Co-Lead will provide representation for a broad and diverse range of voices and communities, facilitating the meaningful inclusion of community perspectives and insights at the earliest stages of study development.

We are seeking candidates with lived experience possessing strong leadership abilities and experience in research. Click here for details about the role and here for the nomination form. To learn more about the CTN, please visit our website.
