Shared Vision; Regional Action: Using Collective Impact to Strengthen Services for Women

Join Molly Bannerman, Provincial Director of the Women and HIV/AIDS Initiative (WHAI) in Ontario as she shares the WHAI’s work to strengthen communities. The WHAI builds capacity in organizations that provide services to women.
Working with coordinators in 15 sites, the WHAI uses a collective impact approach to identify key priorities overall and 3-4 priority goals with collective and collaborative actions each year. Molly will talk about the Network structure and function, as well as advocacy to integrate the voices of women with lived experience in meaningful ways. She will provide concrete examples of work in action that can be used by other organizations.
Attendees will leave with a better understanding of:
- the power of a collective impact approach
- identifying key priorities and translating them into attainable work goals
- ethical support and advocacy on including voices of people with lived experience
Audience:
- HIV and hepatitis C organization staff, volunteers, and community advocates
- Policy developers, including Executive Directors of non-profits as well as those working in health authorities or levels of government
