Dear Stakeholders,
We would like to share with you the first draft of A Framework for Action Towards the Elimination of Sexually Transmitted and Blood-Borne Infections as Public Health Threats in Canada by 2030.
As you know, the Public Health Agency of Canada hosted a meeting to identify concrete actions to address STBBI in Canada on February 23-24, 2017 in Ottawa. The insight from this meeting has informed the development of the attached Draft STIBBI framework.
The Public Health Agency of Canada had the opportunity to present the draft elements of this Framework to a wide range of key stakeholder groups. For those of you who participated in these engagements, we would like to thank you for your initial comments. Feedback has been positive to date and has confirmed support for the overall structure of the Framework. For those of you who have not had the opportunity to participate in PHAC’s previous engagements, we look forward to your feedback as this draft Framework is developed.
We are now seeking comments on this first draft of the Framework itself. Please share this Draft framework with your colleagues and/or networks if you know of others who may want to provide feedback.
We would like to emphasize our continued commitment to working collaboratively over the coming months, in the hopes of achieving an STBBI Framework that is relevant and useful to all stakeholders. We invite you to share your comments by Friday, August 18, 2017, by sending them to [email protected].
If you would like to share your comments with the BC regional office to help us consolidate the feedback from BC, please cc: [email protected] and [email protected] on your email to the CCDIC.
