Moving Mountains: HIV/AIDS Community Based Research Conference in Prince George

MM_LOGO1bMoving Mountains will bring together a diverse group of people who are interested in working together to address HIV/AIDS in northern British Columbia through community based research.

The conference will begin with a free community event that will be open to the public on the eveniing of June 17. We invite anyone interested in HIV and community based research to join us for this opening celebration.

The two-day Moving Mountains (June 18-19) conference  (registration required) will bring together community-based organizations, people living with HIV/AIDS, academic researchers, public health representatives, and other stakeholders to explore how knowledge can be moved to action in HIV/AIDS research. In this forum, we will hear updates from recent and upcoming research and will have opportunities to strengthen our collective capacity to participate in activities that move knowledge to action.

Event schedule –

June 17, 6-8pm – Opening Celebration at the Prince George Native Friendship Centre (1600 – 3rd Avenue, Prince George)

June 18, 9am-5pm – Coast Hotel, 770 Brunswick Street, Prince George

June 19, 9am-1:30pm – Civic Centre, 808 Canada Games Way, Prince George
