Highlights from Summit 2020: Resistance and Responsibility

Community-Based Research Centre (CBRC) produces Summit, an annual knowledge exchange and capacity building national conference on gay, bi, trans, Two-Spirit, and queer men’s (GBT2Q) health. This summary shares key highlights from the first-ever virtual Summit, which brought together service providers, researchers, activists, and community members from across Canada around the theme of Resistance and Responsibility.

This recap shines a light on the diverse speakers and sessions at Summit 2020 (November 2020), which included panels, posters, and workshops on research and interventions to strengthen equity and inclusion within our health systems and communities in the face of structural racism, the COVID-19 pandemic, and other health and social disparities impacting queer and trans communities.
