Job posting: Research Manager in the Clinical Prevention Services Division at the BC Centre for Disease Control

The Clinical Prevention Services Division at the BC Centre for Disease Control is looking to welcome an experienced Research Manager into our motivated, enthusiastic and collaborative team to kick-start and lead a new divisional applied research program.

The research the Clinical Prevention Services Division conducts and services we provide is in the areas of tuberculosis, sexually transmitted infections, HIV, hepatitis B and C, harm reduction, mental health and substance use. Our primary motivation is to serve the populations in BC most affected by these issues, who experience inequities in accessing services, and are disadvantaged by the adverse social and structural factors that are ultimately responsible for facilitating these diseases. Applied research is at the core of our work, in order to understand changes in population dynamics of these infections, to pilot, test and evaluate innovative public health and clinical initiatives, and to support trainees at all levels.

This senior-level Research Manager position will be working closely with our leadership team and Principal Investigators in our Division to develop a comprehensive and diverse program of research, including vision and strategy-setting, planning, management and coordination of multiple research studies. The individual in this position will be integral to advancing our Division’s research and leading to lasting public health impacts.

This is a University of British Columbia position located at the BC Centre for Disease Control.
