Authors: S. Kirkland, S. Patten, T. Krahn, S. Peddle & M. Gaspar
Through the presentation of the challenges and successes of this work, readers will experience the journey that was taken to reflect on and provide advice for collaboratively and strategically working together to improve the lives of those living with these communicable diseases in Atlantic Canada. The report, while quite exhaustive, is meant to be used as a reference document and includes a detailed examination of the current state of HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C and other sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections (STTBBIs), affected populations, and associated service delivery needs in Atlantic Canada from the perspective of community-based organizations and service users. Therefore, this technical report will be of particular interest to people living with HIV or AIDS, Hepatitis C or other STBBIs, staff and volunteers with AIDS Service and Community-Based Organizations, Community-Based HIV/AIDS Researchers, health care professionals, and policy makers.
