A notice of intent (NOI) for a Ministerial Exemption Order on naloxone kits is now live. The Ministerial Exemption Order is being created to ensure the continued supply of naloxone kits on the Canadian market by addressing regulatory compliance issues related to packaging, labelling, and licensing.
The NOI is seeking to identify if there are any potential impacts and/or unintended consequences affecting timely access to naloxone kits as a result of any of the proposed conditions. We are sharing this information to ensure the feedback of those who use and procure naloxone kits is captured.
Should you wish to comment about the order, please direct your comments to [email protected] with the following title in the subject line: “Notice of Intent — Consultation on Potential Ministerial Exemption Order regarding Naloxone Kits.”
The NOI allows for a public comment period of 30 days, until March 31, 2025.
