Webinar: Innovations in HIV Peer Engagement through Community Programming

Join the Public Health Agency of Canada for an engaging webinar on how community-based organizations are using peer involvement and engagement to improve linkage to and retention in care among people living with HIV. The session will feature a presentation from Patience Magagula, Executive Director of Afro-Canadian Positive Network of BC, who will speak to the impact of peer navigators. As well, Adrian Betts, Executive Director, and Lincoln Edwards, Manager of Education Services, at the AIDS Committee of Durham Region, who will discuss their HIV positive youth peer engagement (HYPE) program. Attendees will have an opportunity to engage with presenters through a Q&A period at the end of the session.

On the day of the webinar, click the link on the confirmation email to watch the webinar. It will take you to the zoom.us site. Click “join from your browser”.

You will need internet connection to participate in Zoom webinars through the web-based interface. You may also join audio by phone for the English presentation. Please note: French interpretation is not available by phone at this time. To hear the French interpretation audio you will need to join Zoom via the web-based interface and select computer audio.
