Holiday Grocery and Dinner in Surrey for women living with HIV

We are excited to invite all women living with HIV to our very first Holiday Grocery in Surrey, a special community event hosted by Ribbon Community in collaboration with Afro-Canadian Positive Network. Please join us on December 9th, 2024, for our Surrey Holiday Grocery Pop-Up and Dinner Event.

Women living with HIV – whether or not they are already a Ribbon client – are invited to come by our first ever Surrey Holiday Grocery:

  • Our event space will include an area for grocery shopping, and a buffet dinner. This is open only to women and children from 3 PM onwards. Men will only be able to shop between 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM. After 3 PM, men will be provided a pre-made bag at the door.
  • All women living with HIV and their children can attend the dinner. However, people are eligible to access Ribbon’s Holiday Grocery program once, whether that be as part of our December 3rd event in Vancouver, with a Holiday Grocery delivery from one of our partner organizations, or on site with us in Surrey on December 9.
  • This event aims to support women living with HIV and their families, particularly for the holidays. Community members can shop our grocery items for free, choosing from our selection of pantry items, produce, and milk. Our selection will feature African food items, in addition to an array of toiletries and North American pantry items.
