PAN held our Annual General Meeting virtually on Thursday, October 17, 2024
We were pleased to welcome Rachelle Dallaire, Executive Director of Indigenous Perspectives Society as keynote speaker. Since 2021, we have had the privilege of building relationship and learning from Rachelle and the team at Indigenous Perspectives Society (IPS), working on organizational changes that reflect PAN’s commitment and accountability to the TRC’s Calls to Action and UNDRIP. IPS’s work includes teaching cultural perspectives, how to build good local relationships, understanding history, holding space for healing, leadership and governance, recruitment, and retention, and how to develop and implement cultural agility work plans. View her address titled “Reconciliation from an Indigenous perspective” below.
AGM business meeting
Members found out how PAN has responded to the challenges and opportunities of the year in our Annual Report and leadership message. Other orders of business were hearing from our Board co-chairs and our treasurer about the finances, and voting in of our Board of Directors for the coming year and approving two new membership applications.
