CBRC Summit 2023: Together in Action

via CBRC

CBRC has launched the Summit 2023 Call for Proposals! This year’s conference is taking place from November 16th to 17th, 2023 in Vancouver, BC and will bring together diverse voices, impactful research, and innovative strategies for improving health outcomes for the 2S/LGBTQ+ communities.

The theme for Summit 2023 is Together in Action. As we forge ahead in combating anti-trans, and anti-queer hate, it is crucial that we unite, share knowledge, and inspire one another to create tangible and lasting change. Summit 2023 will continue to highlight efforts to better understand and respond to the health priorities in our communities, but with a focus on showcasing research, programs, and initiatives that underscore the importance – and power – of queer, trans, and Two-Spirit people mobilizing together for our health and wellbeing.

Now is your chance to shape the conversation and inspire attendees by submitting your proposals for sessions, presentations, workshops, panel discussions, poster presentations, and more. We welcome submissions from anyone and everyone, including passionate individuals, organizations, and experts across various disciplines, such as healthcare providers, researchers, Indigenous Elders and Knowledge Keepers, community activists, and policymakers. The deadline to submit is July 23rd.

This year due to various circumstances, CBRC has made the difficult decision to focus solely on an in-person format for Summit 2023. For those who are unable to attend in person, we are exploring alternative ways to share Summit content and resources during and after the event.
