She also serves as co-chair for the provincial investigation into anti-indigenous racism in BC healthcare, the In PlainSight task team. Through numerous academic projects, publications, and presentations, Dr. Elliott shares her passion for community health with a broader community. She co-published a book entitled “Everyday Violence in the Lives of Youth” that explores how structural violence harms youth and their sense of belonging and connection to society. She also gives presentations on cultural safety and trauma, the impact of occupational racial violence on health care, and involving Métis communities in participatory action research.
