Mpox and Pride

Monkeypox is a rare disease that can spread from person-to-person through close contact including, but not limited to, sexual contact. We have developed a new resource page to support people with information on prevention, advocacy, and resources.

In time for Pride, which is celebrated over the BC Day long weekend in the Lower Mainland, the BC Centre for Disease Control (BC CDC) has developed this new resource to share, Mpox Guidance for Events. We know other BC communities often do their Pride events at other times in the summer, but do encourage using this resource all the same.  You can also check out Safer Socializing and Sex (Smart Sex)

If you misssed this when we shared it a few weeks back, here’s another resource from the BC CDC, a poster produced in partnership with Vancouver Coastal Health.  Download/share.
