Webinar on HIV peer health navigation: Moving programs forward

Date: November 10, 2021
Time: 10 AM Pacific time

CATIE is presenting a webinar on peer health navigation, a person-centred approach to guide, connect, refer, educate and accompany people living with HIV through systems of care. The presenters include AIDS Vancouver’s Hesham Ali and Glen Bradford.

From CATIE write-up:

Building off of the release of the Peer Health Navigation Guidelines for People Living with HIV in 2018, this webinar will continue the conversation on how to move peer health navigation programs forward.

During this webinar we will hear about two programs that provide peer health navigation services for people with HIV in community-based and clinical settings. We will also learn about one program that is providing peer health navigation services for hospital inpatients, including people living with HIV. Topics that will be discussed include the integration of peers into hospital-based and other clinical settings, as well as how to support peer navigators in their work more broadly.

This webinar will provide the opportunity to learn from experienced peer navigators and program staff who possess a wealth of knowledge related to providing navigation, support and mentorship to people with HIV.
