Which provinces are on track to eliminate viral hepatitis by 2030? Be the first to see the results of the Progress Toward Viral Hepatitis Elimination In Canada: 2021 Report.
For the last several months, the team at Action Hepatitis Canada has been working to produce this report, the first of its kind in Canada.
Using six metrics, including new annual HCV treatment prescribing count data from 2016-2020, we have:
- determined which provinces and territories are on track to eliminate viral hepatitis by 2030 and which are not;
- made recommendations for what each province and the federal government can do to improve prevention, testing, and testing to treatment links where needed; and
- highlighted some bright spots from certain provinces that could be replicated elsewhere for success.
The report will be launched at the closing of the Canadian Liver Meeting and the first North American Viral Hepatitis Elimination Summit. Registration for the Summit is $25 for community members and provides access to not only the Progress Report Launch but a number of other sessions of interest over the four days of programming. See below for more information.
Summit will take place Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 12 noon Pacific time. Register for the summit
We will also be hosting a members’ workshop to unpack the report and discuss how to use the report as an advocacy tool in your own region. This will be on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at 10 AM Pacific time. Register for the workshop
