YouthCO has released a new booklet (available on their website) called Reclaiming Our Health. This booklet was developed with funding from the PHSA Innovation Fund.
This booklet, developed by and for Trans, Two Spirit, and non-binary (T2SNB) youth, helps to provide information about HIV and hepatitis C that is both accurate and useful for these communities.
Some topics discussed within the booklet include:
- what HIV and hepatitis C are,
- how HIV and hepatitis C can be passed,
- what treatment looks like for HIV and hepatitis C
- PEP and PrEP,
- condom usage, and
- practices around using drugs (including injecting, inhaling, and snorting).
At the end, the booklet lists resources for support that are available within BC.
