Job Postings: 3 Opportunities at Community-Based Research Centre

The Community-Based Research Centre is embarking upon its 5-year, national plan to strengthen the health and well-being of gay and bisexual men. In addition to naming a new Managing Director, the CBRC has posted three new job postings to accomplish their goals:

Program Director
Fundamental to CBRC is its dynamic community-based research program. The Sex Now Survey, first launched in 2002, has grown into a national gay men’s health survey providing vital data for programming, policy and evaluation. From research evidence, CBRC has created popular programs like Totally Outright, the Investigaytors and the Gay Men’s Health Summit, enabling gay and other sexual minority men to work together to build capacity and address community needs. Momentum has grown but inequities persist. Now, CBRC is undertaking a new initiative: the Smarter Prevention project.

We’re looking for a Program Director to work closely with a team of community advisors and organizational partners to create, field test and evaluate a new educational intervention for gay men ages 30 to 45 from across Canada. Following on the success of Totally Outright for young gay men, we want to produce a workshop that focuses on health activism and social change leading to greater access and uptake of HIV prevention options: PEP, PrEP, TasP, condoms and mental health services.
