Status of Women Canada is hosting an open house event on Thursday, June 22nd from 1pm-3:15pm at 800 Burrard Street, Room 1902, Vancouver, BC!
There will be a presentation from Kendra Milne, Director of Law Reform at West Coast LEAF and Viveca Ellis of the Single Mothers Alliance of BC, who will discuss economic issues impacting women in BC on behalf of the BC CEDAW collective (Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women). There will also be the opportunity to: meet with new SWC regional staff; network amongst attendees from across the province and a range of organizations; hear about SWC’s work and the upcoming call for proposals under the economic theme; as well as share ideas for future collaboration and stakeholder engagement activities with SWC. Light refreshments will be served.
