YouthCO is excited to be partnering with ICW’s Chapter for Young Women, Adolescents and Girls (CYWAG) to support a part-time, short contract Positive Programs Intern.
The Positive Programs Intern will be focused on engaging positive youth in existing programs at YouthCO, including our youth group clinics and Camp Moomba programming. This position will also be working on activities as part of the Love Positive Women campaign led by ICW and will include global engagement with the CYWAG group. This position is open to self-identified women aged 16-29 living with HIV.
Responsibilities
With the support of YouthCO’s Program Director and ICW’s Community Relations and Mobilization Manager, the Positive Programs Assistant will:
- Lead activities Love Positive Women campaign at YouthCO
- Connect with the CYWAG group to learn about Love Positive Women worldwide
- Engage positive youth and other YouthCO members in planning the event
- Create space for positive youth to participate in the event
- Support YouthCO staff in engaging positive youth in youth group clinics in partnership with Oak Tree
- Assist in the development and delivery for Winter Camp, happening in January/February 2016
- Communicate with families and potential campers and volunteers
- Support and engage in the CYWAG group online
- Monthly interview/blog story of global CYWAG member
- Social media engagement
