The Native Courtworker and Counselling Association of BC are accepting applications for this full time position of Aboriginal Health Promotion Specialist. Working within NCCABC’s programs for vulnerable Aboriginal persons and as part of a larger coordinated Health Promotion Case Management Team in partnership with Vancouver AIDS Society, the goal of this position is to decrease an individual’s vulnerability to acquiring HIV and increase their resilience and self-efficacy through the development of a personalized resiliency plan. The Aboriginal Health Promotion Specialist provides HIV prevention services and will reach out to vulnerable Aboriginal persons residing in or receiving the majority of their care in the Vancouver Community of Care. This position will be a 32.5 hour a week position for a contracted time period ending March 31, 2015, with the option to renew if funding is renewed. This position is a unionized position under BC Government and Services Employee Union.
